Lap Banker, The University of Indonesian Teknocrat (UTI), as one of the finest private colleges in Lampung held the Cultural Talks Webings Series, October 27, 2020.
The Virtual Event UTI is part of the Nusantara Student Exchange Program. It's a credit system that's been subjugated by Information Technology (Milky Jewelry), one of the implementation of the Merriment Training Program and Mercify College.
"The purpose of this activity is to introduce the youth culture Ragam. This program is expected to increase the unification and unity in the middle of the cultural diversity that we have," says Vice-Rector 1 University of Indonesian Teknocrat Dr. H. Mahathir Muhammad, SE, MM, in his speech.
Mahathir explained, Indonesia has a very high cultural diversity, from Sabang to Merauke. With the University of Education, students from all over Indonesia can not only experience learning on other colleges, but also get to know cultures from other areas.
"It can certainly strengthen our sense of unity and unity as Indonesian youth, and also increase our love for Indonesia as a reflection of the youth's vow tomorrow that we will warn you," he said.
It is well known that the government through the Ministry of Education and Cultural Culture has presented a Merriment and College program that gives students the right to study three semesters outside the study program. According to the Didicbud data (2020), there is a quality gap in education from around 4,670 colleges and 8 million students in Indonesia.
"It doesn't have access, either access to facilities or access to quality learning, to make uneven education quality," reveal Mahathir.
Therefore, the free curriculum learns this as a solution that has a chance to narrow down the quality gap.
"We have committed to consecration this program by welcoming students from all over Indonesia to take a course on our campus, with the most forgiving teachers in its own field,"
Mahathir wishes that these Westerdays' activities could bring profit to the students. And hopefully the free college curriculum will not only improve the quality of education but also our nationalism of Indonesia.
