Bandarlampung, – S1 Informatics student at the Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia Maulana Hero Rizal Pratama won 3rd place in the national Creative Idea competition category in the 2020 Continuous Improvement Program (CIP) organized by PT Perusahaan Gas Negara Tbk.

The celebration of the winners’ victory was held on Monday, December 7, 2020. The celebration took place online. Supervised by Erliyan Redy Susanto, M.Kom and Agung Dwi Hasdianto as facilitators, the team built a prototype to accelerate the detection of methane gas leaks.

They use the BLINK (Based Lifestyle of Interconnected Network) device at the Meter and Regulating Station (MR/S) in all operating areas of PT Perusahaan Gas Negara Tbk (PGN). In the competition, Maulana was assisted by employees of PT PGN Solution for the Lampung Region, namely Nuradil Wiliandu and Aris Setiawan.

Head of the Lampung Area Operations Project, PT PGN Solution for the Lampung Region, Juvinus Sembiring, said that the creative idea activity is a form of creativity for the PGN Solution Area Lampung Team. Both in the field of implementing internet of things (IoT) technology as well as in the field of operation and maintenance of PGN’s gas facilities.

“We hope that in the future there will be more creative ideas and innovations regarding the use of IoT in maintaining good energy for natural gas so that gas facility maintenance activities can be easier, faster and more efficient,” he said.
